Doctor John
Cha Yo-han diagnoses pain for a living and cannot feel his own. That is not a metaphor. The hospital still calls him when the charts stop making sense. It also remembers why he left in handcuffs. Kang Shi-young is an anesthesiology resident who came to medicine to keep people here and is no longer sure she should. She meets him in a prison clinic, then again in a pain center that treats symptoms nobody else will name. Son Seok-ki is a prosecutor who has already decided Yo-han is the kind of doctor the law should finish. The patients keep arriving with pain that does not match the scans.
