Cheon Yeo-ri’s hand is touched as Prosecutor Ma Gang-uk saves her from falling backward when he opens her office door. Yeo-ri’s greatest fear is that he is doomed to see and talk to ghosts like her.

When he asks how she knew where to find the body in the mountains, she tells him that a ghost revealed it. He insists she was joking. She tells him to leave just as an elderly woman enters her office.

Chairman Baek overhears this and Yeo-ri explains it was only a joke. But Chairman Baek reminds her that rumors spread by her former fiancé claim she has a shamanic calling. Her grandmother, as CEO of the Reina Hotel Group, warns her that she is competing with CL Raymond as a global chain and urges her to join the trend. Yeo-ri insists she can run the hotels competently without paying royalties.

Gang-uk meets Park Jeung-jae on his way to see Cheon Ha-ri at the Reina Hotel lobby, reminding him of the need to find Jang Eun-ju’s murdered body. He warns Jeung-jae he will send him back to jail, but Jeung-jae scoffs.

Later, Gang-uk joins his grandmother at an orphanage, playing with children until he accidentally breaks the Director’s window. Retrieving the ball gives him an idea of how the crime was committed.

Jeung-jae meets Cheon Ha-ri, her brother Dong-jun, and Director Ok to boast about his lead in the golf tournament. Winning the championship is the condition for immediate marriage. Ha-ri tells her mother to give him one of Shaman Baek’s talismans to keep his lucky streak, said to be controlled by ghosts. She adds that Yeo-ri is a ghost who thinks he is a gold-digger and parasite. Furious, Jeung-jae confronts CEO Yeo-ri.

Yeo-ri is unfazed. She reveals that Jang Eun-ju was at the hotel the day she vanished, having reserved the Siena Hall. Eun-ju confided her pregnancy and desperation to Yeo-ri. Yeo-ri suggests a three-way meeting, but Jeung-jae laughs, saying it is impossible since Eun-ju is dead. When Yeo-ri asks if he would like to talk to her, he panics. Instead, Yeo-ri tricks him with her secretary, who hands him gift certificates. Eun-ju’s ghost tells Yeo-ri she wants him to win so his downfall will be greater.

Prosecutor Ma and his team discover that Jeung-jae used a stewardess’s identity to book a hotel room adjacent to Eun-ju’s. When he pushed her, she hit her head on a table corner and died accidentally. He hid her body in the stewardess’s luggage and carried it to the rooftop. CCTV did not capture his movements, making it seem a perfect crime—except he was left-handed, while the stewardess was right-handed.

Gang-uk and Yeo-ri meet at the hotel rooftop, guided by Eun-ju’s ghost to her body. Prosecutor Ma arrests Jeung-jae after he receives his trophy and champion’s coat. Gang-uk congratulates him on his downfall, fulfilling Eun-ju’s ghost’s request. Ha-ri is devastated by losing her fiancé again.

Chairman Baek overhears Ha-ri’s accusations against Yeo-ri and advises her to go to Jeju to focus on CL Raymond Hotel Group’s offer.

In Jeju, Gang-uk attends his best friend Park Do-jun’s wedding at Raymond Hotel. He visits Grandma Chun-hui but learns she didn’t go diving. Meanwhile, Yeo-ri encounters Kang Min-hwan, her childhood friend, who admits he contacted Chairman Baek about the offer. He escorts her to a fashion show featuring Ms. Hae-na Jung’s designs. Yeo-ri admires a mermaid-inspired dress, commenting on its bittersweet resemblance to the Little Mermaid’s fate.

Prosecutor Ma meets Grandma Chun-hui at the hotel lobby, where she argues with security guards. She reports her granddaughter Da-mi missing, dismissed by police as a runaway. Da-mi had said she was attending a fashion show at the hotel. Gang-uk investigates her room for clues.

Yeo-ri checks into a suite arranged by Kang Min-hwan. She notices wet footprints but dismisses them as ghosts. Meanwhile, Gang-uk also stays in the suite. In the morning, they wake up shocked to find themselves in the same bed due to a booking error. The hotel apologizes, but Kang Min-hwan furiously reassigns the staff.

The ghost continues dripping water in the room. Both Yeo-ri and Gang-uk dismiss the noise as ghostly activity. Later, Kang-uk saves Yeo-ri from a falling suitcase on the escalator.

Finally, Yeo-ri is led by a ghost to a cliff, where she witnesses Da-mi’s fatal fall during an argument with Jung Haenyo. She retrieves Da-mi’s cellphone, evidence of the stolen design. Gang-uk arrives, startling her, and they both fall into the water—where they discover Da-mi’s body, solving the mystery of the missing designer.
