Prosecutor Ma Gang-uk follows Cheon Yeo-ri to Singapore and meets her at the aquarium, where she is stood up by the manager of the hotel operators’ convention. She wanted to know who invited Han Se-in to Singapore. Se-in holds the crucial three percent shares of the Reina Hotels Group, which Yeo-ri needs to secure her position as CEO in the Special Shareholders’ Meeting called by Director Ok Gye-hui, who seeks to seize power from her.

They dine at the aquarium restaurant. Gang-uk has asked Prosecutor Hyeong-min to locate Han Se-in in Singapore so Yeo-ri can convince her to vote in her favor during the shareholders’ meeting in Seoul. Gang-uk explains that the feud between Se-in and her brother stems from debts that forced Se-in to buy back the Chaeum Artrion, a building constructed by their father.

Hyeong-min informs Gang-uk that Se-in’s social media shows her at a place with a bridge. Yeo-ri locates her at a restaurant on a boat, and they approach her. Yeo-ri explains that she stands to lose Reina Hotels and Siena Hall—the wedding hall her father built and her mother cared for. She says this was the place where she found comfort and strength. Similarly, Chaeum Artrion was Se-in’s family legacy, but her brother demanded she pay off his debts in exchange for it. Legal battles turned them into enemies.

Yeo-ri suggests registering Chaeum Artrion as a cultural heritage site to prevent demolition. Se-in argues that it is only 45 years old, while the law requires 50 years for registration. Gang-uk counters that a new law allows modern architecture at risk of damage to receive preliminary heritage status.

Se-in considers their proposal, supported by petitions from the art community and architectural committee. Yeo-ri proposes that Reina could manage it through the Reina Cultural Foundation, which would purchase and operate it as an art venue with Se-in as administrator. Se-in doubts whether her three percent share could secure Yeo-ri’s victory, especially since Kang Min-hwan offered double the price for her stocks to support Yeo-ri’s ouster.

Meanwhile, Kang Min-hwan is confident Yeo-ri will lose her position by controlling Se-in’s shares. Yeo-ri insists she only needs Ms. Han’s trust to make changes happen for both Reina and Chaeum Artrion. Ms. Han decides to think it over before the shareholders’ elections the following day.

Yeo-ri gives her the gift Gang-uk brought from Korea, the painting of Do-won, the traditional artist of Korea, hoping she enjoys it as part of her preference for traditional Korean folk arts. Gang-uk then asks Yeo-ri to help him shop for gifts for Hyeon-min, Pil-dong, and Grandma Pang as they tour Singapore together.

At the hotel, Yeo-ri recalls the necklace Ji-hwan gave her before the accident, which he said would protect her. She and Gang-uk discuss how wearing gloves allows them to hold hands without seeing the ghosts that torment him, though kissing does not have the same effect.

Chairman Baek Geong-ja scolds Director Ok for calling the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting to oust Yeo-ri. Director Ok replies that “flowers only bloom when the time is right,” confident she will win the CEO position.

After absent shareholders cast their votes, Mr. Bong opens the in-person voting. The combined results show Yeo-ri retaining her position as CEO with 50.5% of the votes. Director Ok garners 49.5% and storms out. Kang Min-hwan throws a fit with the outcome of the shareholder's vote, losing his leverage after failing to acquire Se-in’s shares. and upon Upon learning of bribery charges against Chief Prosecutor Ok Gye-dong, he has a new scheme to oust Cheon Yeo-ri.

Han Se-in appreciates Yeo-ri’s gift—a Do-won artwork featuring butterflies from traditional folk art—and decides to support her after learning Yeo-ri remains CEO of the Reina Group.

Grandma Pang, however, is furious at Gang-uk for deceiving her about Yeo-ri’s birth year. Learning from Mrs. Song that Yeo-ri was born the same year as Ji-hwan—the year of the black monkey—she warns Gang-uk that tying his life to another black monkey will bring misfortune and an early death. He dismisses it as superstition, but she gives him three days to break up with Yeo-ri.

Kang Min-hwan, still ambitious, offers Director Ok a partnership with CL to merge companies and reshape the Asian market, predicting Reina’s share prices will drop.

Gang-uk later visits Yeo-ri, who recalls the missing pendant from the accident. He shows her a photo of paramedics at the scene, suspecting they might have taken it. They track Ji Sun-ho, a paramedic now confined at Andong Mirae Hospital, who reveals someone from the family took the pendant when Yeo-ri was hospitalized.

Meanwhile, Min-hwan manipulates Chief Prosecutor with flattery, suggesting promotions and linking scandals to Assemblyman Park Jin-dong. He hints that Park could be tied to Yeo-ri instead of Director Ok. The Chief Prosecutor releases the bribery scandal and assigns Gang-uk abroad.

Grandma Pang has a nightmare of Gang-uk being run over and begs Yeo-ri to break up with him to save his life. Prosecutor Im Seo-hyeon confirms Gang-uk’s overseas assignment, raising Yeo-ri’s suspicions.

Determined, Yeo-ri tells Mr. Bong and Ms. Eom she will face the prosecutor’s office without Gang-uk. Meeting him in the yard, she calls off their engagement and breaks up with him. Gang-uk is devastated.
